The double XP event runs from October 8 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET until October 11 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, allowing players to level up Season 6's new weapons even faster than normal. The patch notes for Zombies also include the vague mention of general stability and exploit fixes for Dead Ops Arcade 3, and that the update will address an issue with "out of memory" scenarios in late-stage games. Now, the option to Pack-a-Punch should make the weapon even more powerful against bosses and better suited for higher rounds. Shockwave Wonder Weapon could only be upgraded with one of the elemental upgrades that can be found on the Die Maschine round-based map and within specific Outbreak regions. Launching with the start of Season 6, Forsaken is the final map and the conclusion of Cold War's Dark Aether storyline. Additionally, shotguns are receiving a buff to the Ranger Barrel attachment, which will increase the effective damage range bonus on the attachment from 30% to 33%. ![]() The Nailgun special weapon is receiving a buff, as head and neck shots will do 2x damage. The EM2 will receive reduced damage and added vertical recoil, while the TEC-9 is getting nerfs to the gun's aim-down-sight speed, sprint-to-fire time, and weapon swap speed. The Marshal is a very powerful weapon in its current state, so the reduced maximum damage and decreased firing rate might make this weapon a little less overpowered in the new season. Multiplayer will also get a bit of weapon tuning to some of the game's most powerful weapons, including various nerfs to the Marshal shotgun-pistol, EM2 assault rifle, and TEC-9 submachine gun from Season 5. This Halloween map is likely coming around the launch of Call of Duty's upcoming "The Haunting" event on October 19. Treyarch also detailed a new Gunfight tournament is coming, and teases that one classic map will be getting a Halloween variant.
